What is Bümpis?
Bümpis is a digital business card platform that uses NFC technology. You get a physical card that, when tapped to a smartphone, instantly shares your professional profile and contact information.
Do I need a physical card to use Bümpis?
No! You can create a digital profile and share it via QR code or direct link without a physical card. The NFC card is just one convenient way to share your info.
Is Bümpis free?
Yes, you can create a free account and digital profile. Physical NFC cards are available for purchase separately.
Does the other person need the Bümpis app?
No. When someone taps your card, your profile opens directly in their web browser. No app download required.

NFC Cards

How does NFC work?
NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless technology built into most modern smartphones. When you hold your Bümpis card near a phone, it automatically opens your profile—no pairing or app required.
Which phones support NFC?
iPhone 7 and newer, plus most Android phones from the last 5-6 years support NFC. iPhones have it always enabled; Android users may need to turn it on in settings.
Do the cards need charging or batteries?
No. NFC cards are passive devices—they get power from the phone reading them. Your card will work forever without any charging.
Are the cards waterproof?
Our cards are water-resistant and can handle normal everyday exposure. However, we don't recommend submerging them for extended periods.
Can I have multiple cards linked to one profile?
Yes! You can order additional cards and link them all to the same profile. Great for having cards in multiple locations.
What if I lose my card?
Simply order a replacement card and link it to your existing profile. All your information stays safe in your account.

Profile & Privacy

Can I update my profile after creating it?
Absolutely! Unlike paper business cards, your digital profile can be updated anytime. Changes are instant—no need to reprint anything.
What information is shared when someone taps my card?
Only the information you choose to display on your profile. You control what's visible: name, title, photo, contact info, social links, etc.
Can I see who viewed my profile?
We show aggregate analytics like total views and contact saves. We don't identify individual viewers to protect privacy.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. Your data is stored securely and never sold to third parties.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Contact support to request account deletion. This will remove all your data and deactivate any linked cards.

Can I use Bümpis for my company?

Can I brand the cards with my company logo?
Team and enterprise plans include custom branding options for both the physical cards and digital profiles.

Troubleshooting

My card isn't working. What should I do?
First, make sure NFC is enabled on your phone (Android). Try removing your phone case and tapping different areas. If it still doesn't work, contact support.
The link opened but the page won't load.
Check your internet connection. Try opening the link in a different browser. If the problem persists, our servers may be experiencing issues—try again in a few minutes.
I can't log into my account.
Use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your password. If you signed up with Google or Microsoft, make sure you're using the same sign-in method.
My profile changes aren't showing.
Changes should be instant. Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. Changes may take a moment to propagate.
