Setting Up Your NFC Card
Your Bümpis card comes pre-programmed and ready to use. Here's how to activate it and link it to your profile.
Activating Your Card
Step 1: Tap Your Card
Hold your Bümpis card against the back of your smartphone. For iPhones, tap near the top. For Android phones, tap the center-back area.
Tip: Make sure NFC is enabled on your phone. On iPhone, it's always on. On Android, check Settings → Connections → NFC.
Step 2: Open the Link
A notification will appear on your phone. Tap it to open your card's activation page in your browser.
Step 3: Sign In or Create Account
If you already have a Bümpis account, sign in to link the card to your existing profile. Otherwise, create a new account to set up your profile.
Step 4: Complete Your Profile
Add your contact information, photo, and social links. Your card is now active and ready to share!
Compatible Devices
iPhone

- • NFC is always enabled
- • Tap near the top of the phone
Android
- • Most Android phones with NFC
- • Android 5.0 or later
- • Enable NFC in settings
- • Tap the center-back of phone
Troubleshooting
Card isn't being detected▼
Try these steps:
- Remove any phone case, especially thick or metal cases
- Make sure NFC is enabled (Android: Settings → Connections → NFC)
- Try tapping different areas of your phone
- Hold the card still for 1-2 seconds
- Ensure the card isn't near other NFC cards or metal objects
Link opens but page doesn't load▼
This usually means a connectivity issue:
- Check your internet connection (WiFi or cellular)
- Try opening the link in a different browser
- Clear your browser cache and try again
Card was already claimed▼
If you see a message that the card is already claimed:
- You may have already activated this card with another account
- Sign in with the account you originally used
- Contact support if you believe this is an error
My phone doesn't have NFC▼
No problem! You can still set up your profile:
- Create an account at bumpis.com
- Set up your profile in the dashboard
- Use another phone with NFC to activate your card
- Or contact support with your card ID for manual activation
Caring for Your Card
Durability
Your Bümpis card is built to last. It's water-resistant and can handle everyday wear and tear.
Storage
Store your card in a wallet or card holder. Avoid placing it near strong magnets or extreme heat.
Replacement
Lost your card? Order a replacement and link it to your existing profile. Your data stays safe.
